i feel like i need a bit of a change, breaking away from prophecy girl a little bit and all that.. i mean, i've used prophecy girl since 1997, so it's not going anywhere. but i just.. needed a change of scenery.

also, it's been pointed out to me (by me and then several other people, lol) that prophecy--girl is a pain in the butt, because of the dashes.. and honestly, i HATE the dashes like a fat kid hates dodgeball. so.. yeah.

plus i found a bunch of my drawings yesterday, and i kind of just want to start new with them.

I can play Portal on my new computer! YAY! ISH SO HAPPEH!!!!

I couldn't play it on my old one, cause it had an intel 945 chipset.. google that + portal and see the epic fail that THAT is.

But now. I CAN PLAY.

Which totally makes up for not being able to play world of warcraft.

what a crazy week so far! i went up to the school yesterday and officiall submitted my diploma & test scores from the high school, and the guy said the hold on my enrollment should be taken off within a few days. the only things keeping me from being officially enrolled were needing to verify high school, and needing to attend orientation. so now i just need to wait for my orientation ticket to arrive in the snail mail, though i already know it's being held july 30 at 12:30, and is four hours long. (god help me.)

i also applied for (?) a stafford loan from sallie mae.. i'm not sure how loans work all that well, so i don't know if i just applied for it or if i actually took it out. all i know is i had to print out something and sign it and snail mail it to them, so i mailed it yesterday, which means it'll go out this morning. OH HAI DEBT, U R MY BFF.

whatever. it's worth it to get an education. i don't care what i have to do, my future (and my future with j) is the most important thing in the world to me, and i'm gonna do whatever i have to, to guarantee our future together.

anyway.

in OTHER news, i got a new laptop! the compaq i had, which i ordered off eBay (i'm sure some of you remember THAT little drama.. the "new" computer that showed up at my doorstep, scratched, broken, and otherwise NOT NEW. after about a month of waiting for it and demanding a refund.) has been.. very weird lately. the processor has been going crazy, and i can hear various things rattling around inside it. it sounds like a sick airplane, really. and i was REALLY stressing between having to pay for books and school in general, and thinking that my computer (which i obviously need for school.) was gonna die any minute. probably in the middle of a 14 page paper i hadn't saved yet or something.

so i took out a credit card/finance thingie at best buy, and got a compaq presario cq60 which just happened to end up being the same exact computer j got a little while back, haha. which means that, without consulting each other about it, we ended up with the same:

- comforter on our bed from kohl's
- twin bed from ikea (which i no longer have, i lent/gave it to my sister.)
- computer from best buy
- hooded sweatshirt from old navy

i give it two years, tops, before we start looking like each other. i love being an old (but happy!) married couple in our early-to-mid 20s.
